Invisalign®

Today a series of clear, removable appliances can straighten your teeth...

If the thought of wearing braces is holding you back from the smile you’ve always wanted, this is good news. Introducing Invisalign, a state-of-the-art alternative to braces that is virtually undetectable to other people. Invisalign straightens your teeth, not with brackets and wires, but with a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners.

New computer technology makes Invisalign possible...

Invisalign uses the latest 3-D computer technology to create your customized aligners. Your first step is a visit to an Align Technology certified orthodontist. The two of you will determine what you want to correct. Then, the orthodontist sends us precise treatment instructions. Invisalign uses advanced computer technology to translate these instructions into a sequence of finely calibrated aligners – as few as 12 or as many as 48.

You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks and only take it out for eating, brushing and flossing. As you replace each aligner with the next, you teeth will move – gradually – week by week, until they move into the final alignment your orthodontist prescribed. Then, you’ll be smiling like you’ve never smiled before.

Only an orthodontist or dentist can determine if Invisalign is right for you...

To ensure the best possible results, only an orthodontist or dentist who has been trained and certified by Align Technology can diagnose and treat using Invisalign. Invisalign is not intended for children and is not appropriate for every adult. Only an orthodontist or dentist can determine if this treatment is an effectve option for you. Braces

Orthodontic Dental Braces move teeth by applying continuous pressure in a particular direction. The pressure applied by the orthodontic braces will generally have to be adjusted many times over the course of the orthodontic treatment. When using orthodontic dental braces, treatment can last anywhere from one to three years, and sometimes longer. Orthodontic dental braces consist of brackets, which are applied to the teeth with a bonding agent, and arch wires. The arched wires thread through the brackets and guide the teeth to their new position.

Orthodontic dental braces are made of stainless steel, plastic, or ceramic. Stainless steel orthodontic braces are the most common, but plastic or ceramic can be chosen for cosmetic purposes. The cost of orthodontic braces will always vary depending on the type of orthodontic braces used, the length of the orthodontic treatment, and the part of the country the orthodontic procedure is being performed. On average, orthodontic dental braces will range in price from around $2,000 to $5,000.

Retainers

Orthodontic Dental Retainers are orthodontic appliances made of plastic and stainless steel wire and are used to hold the teeth in place after a patient's orthodontic braces have been removed. The orthodontic retainer keeps the teeth in their new position while the surrounding bone and gums adjust around them. The length of time that the orthodontic retainer must be worn will vary, but most teenagers will be advised to wear their orthodontic retainer until their early 20s.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is actually a mild bleaching process that restores stained or discolored teeth to a healthy, natural color. Don't be misled by unproven and ineffective over-the-counter whitening solutions. Our office uses an advanced procedure that is only available from a trained orthodontist.
